Hitherto we have discussed the basic theological relation existing between the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Quran. We will now typify by means of an example the relation in which the entire Bible in general (from Genesis to the Gospel) and the Quran stand relatively from the angle of gradual development.

THE LEVIATHAN OF THE BIBLE AND THE HOTAMA OF THE QURAN

The Bible stands in a peculiar, particular relation to the Quran, while the Quran stands in a peculiar, particular relation to the Bible. This fact may be observed from the point of view of theology, philosophy, and from the point of view of ethics and spiritualism. Both the books spring from the same source and may be seen to form a series in sequence. The Quran, however, being the subsequent and the last, has its form finished and complete. Here we intend to show in what relation the two books stand to each other in the field of science. We will here see in comparison the treatment of the phenomenon of atomism by the Quran, and the description of a certain natural phenomenon by the Bible. The Quran's description and characterization of the modern atomism and the atomic phenomenon may be seen to have been clearly and conspicuously scientific, so that the Quran has even named the atomic phenomenon exactly as atomic phenomenon, giving out exact characteristics of modern atomism and the atomic phenomenon, so that no scientist could have been more factual and more technical in the description. In the Bible I have found the characterization of some natural phenomenon by the name of Leviathan, described by God to Job as a specimen of the powerfulness and terribleness of God's natural phenomena. I will now quote the description of the Leviathan from the Bible. In it will be seen not only the two different standards that is of the Quran and the Bible in comparison but the description will be of real interest to the scientist due to such features of the Leviathan as could be seen in the bomb and other igneous devices of modern science in reference to the natural phenomena and man's control over the forces of nature. In the Bible in the 41st Chapter of Job : God says to Job:-

(1)        Canst thou draw out Leviathan with a hook? Or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?

(2)        Canst thou put a hook into his nose? Or bore his Jaw through with a thorn?

(3)        Will he make many supplications unto thee? Will he speak soft words unto thee?

(4)        Will he make a covenant with thee? Will thou take him for a servant for ever?

(5)        Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? Or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?

(6)        Shall the companions make a banquet of him? Shall they part him among the merchants?

(7)        Canst thou fill his skin with barbed iron? Or his head with fish spear?

(8)        Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do not more.

(9)        Behold, the hope of him is in vain: Shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him.

(10)      None is so fierce that dare stir him up: Who then is able to stand before me?

(11)      Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him: whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

(12)      I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.

(13)      Who can discover the face of his garments? Or who can come to him with his double bridle?

(14)      Who can open the doors of his face? His teeth are terrible round about.

(15)      His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a closed seal.

(16)      One is so near to another that no air can come between them.

(17)      They are joined one to another; they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.

(18)      By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.

(19)      Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.

(20)      Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or cauldron.

(21)      His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.

(22)      In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.

(23)      The flames of his flesh are joined together: They are firm in themselves: they cannot be moved.

(24)      His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.

(25)      When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid; by reason of breakings they purify themselves.

(26)      The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.

(27)      He esteemth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.

(28)      The arrow cannot make him flee; slingstones are turned with him into stubble.

(29)      Darts are counted as stubble: He laughteth at the shaking of a spear.

(30)      Sharpy stones are under him: He spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.

(31)      He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: He maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.

(32)      He maketh a path to shine after him: One would think the deep to be hoary.

(33)      Upon the earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

(34)      He belongeth all high things: He is a king over all the children of pride.  (The Bible: JOB 41)

            We will now apply these explanations to modern machines, bombs, furnaces and atomic bombs, to see with appropriateness do they fit.

            The formidableness and terribleness of the natural phenomena as well as of the modern devices of science in reference to the natural forces may be seen in the following:-

            "Canst thou draw out Leviathan with a hook? Or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down".

AND

            "Canst thou put a hook into his nose? Or bore his Jaw through with a thorn?".

AND

             "Will he make many supplications unto thee? Will he speak soft words unto thee?".

            Now these above-mentioned characterizations of Leviathan invariably show the formidablenes of the natural phenomena, and of the power-driven machines. Yet, no doubt, man in the modern age of science, has captivated some of the natural forces, such as steam, electricity, fire etc. But the case of the atomic energy has appeared to be different. It is offering a great resistance to man's control, and it appears hardly possible that man will ever be able to claim complete control on the atomic phenomenon. Yet inspite of this, if man will persist in his endeavours to take the service of atomic phenomenon, he will not be able to enjoy long the services, because the atomic Leviathan will eventually destroy him. The Bible has a challenge in this respect. It says:-"Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do not more".

            As regards the atomic power it might be quoted:-

"Behold the hope of him is in vain. Shall not one be cast down at the sight of him? None is so fierce that dare stir him up, who then is able to stand before me? Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? Whatsoever is under the whole is mine. I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion. Who can discover the face of his garment? Or who can come to him with his double birdle? Who can open the door of his face? His teeth are terrible round about".

            And indeed the atomic phenomenon and its atomic bomb and its atomic radiation are there as a retribution of certain evils which the Quran has enumerated in the clearest of terms in its warning about he atomic hell. But read the following Biblic hints which could be applied to the modern machines and the conventional bombs, and the furnaces and the atomic bombs etc. regarding the design and functioning:-

            "Who can open the doors of his face? His teeth are terrible round about. His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a closed seal.  One is so near to another, that no air can come between them. They are joined one to another, they strick together, that they cannot be sundered. By his neesings light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning, out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostril goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or cauldron. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth".

            And now imagine the first experiment of the atomic bomb standing around in anxiety about the working of the atomic bomb that they made the first time. Then by the detonation the atomic bomb explodes and the strong neck of the atomic bomb rises upward with terrible force in the form of a lofty column, and the experimenter's anxiety is turned into joy. Then read the Bible, it says:-

            的n his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him". And the other feature of the affair of the atomic explosion is as the Bible says:  "When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves". And this fact may well be attested by those unfortunate Hiroshimites and Nagasakites among whom the atomic Leviathan had raised himself up. They also will confirm that" His heart is as firm as a stone: Yea, as hard as the piece of the nether millstone. The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold" the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon. "He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood". The arrow cannot make him flee: Sling stones are turned with him into a stubble. Darts are counted as stubble: He laughteth at the shaking of a spear". The iron girdirs of the strong buildings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki could confirm the words of the Bible. "He esteemth iron as straw, and Brass as rotten wood". And indeed the experiments of the atomic bomb would attest the fact during their under-water burst as the Bible says" He maketh the deep to boil like a pot; he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment". And finally, any one who has seen a soaring rocket, or the supersonic air craft in flight, will recall to his mind the description: " He maketh a path to shine after him: One would think the deep to be hoary".

            The Bible in this description of the Leviathan has provided an excellent specimen of its position in relation to the Quran as regards the root, reference, age, stage, manner and matter. The Quran as may be seen has advanced into the heart of the modern field and has fixed its camera there to take and describe the pictures in a very minute and exact manner adopting the method, manner, language, process and the system of this modern age of science. The Quran appears to be championing the cause of all the scriptures of God. It is the fruit, Gospel the flower, the prophecies of the Mosaic Prophets the branches, the Pentateuch the stem, and the scriptures of Abraham the roots, of the Abrahamic religion of God's unity. The fruit naturally has all of the tree to the root of the tree. And mark that whereas the Bible in its Leviathan has confined itself to a general description of the natural phenomena, the Quran has approached the farthest confines to describe the atomic phenomenon, and has given the perfect scientific description thereof. Read Chapter Homaza.

THE QURAN PHENOMENALLY CHARACTERIZES THE HOTAMA

            A miracle in the field of atomic science and atomism, a miracle undeniable, and the only irrefutable proof of Quran's divine original, and the only guidance to escape the atomic doom, indeed, Noah's Ark in this fiery deluge of atomism, and a redeemer of mankind from this temporal atomic hell as well as its original prototype the eternal atomic hell (Hotama) of the next world  the causes of both these forms of atomic hell being identical ---- this 36 word prophecy of the Quran by the Grace of Merciful Allah is my own discovery with my three thousand page explanation of it. Read. The Quran says:-

            "Woe to every backbiter, defamer, who amasseth wealth (of this world) and arrangeth it (against the future). He thinketh that his wealth will remain with him for ever. Nay, for, verily he will be cast into Al-Hotama. And what could teach thee what Al-Hotama is? It is fire of Allah enkindled which leapeth up onto the hearts. It is (a fire) closed in on them in outstretched columns".

            Observe now the description of this modern progress of Baconian atomism by the Quran:-

(1).BACKBITER AND DEFAMER

            Atomism both ancient and modern is a doctrinal slander against divine religion. The spirit of critical rationalism, the distinguishing philosophical standard of this modern Baconian age against every premodern age, being perverted to critical slander, and permeating through every phase of human affair, has rendered this age as the age of columny with its intellectualized slander named propaganda. This age itself is the age of slander. See, slander everywhere slander, every-way slander.

(2).       The Quran says "He amasseth wealth (of this world) and arrangeth it against the future". Observe this modern continuous, systematic, organized, ever-increasing, infinite and universal process of wealth-accumulation and increase, and its arrangement for future as distinct from the systems of every premodern age.

(3).       The Quran says" He thinketh that his wealth will for ever remain with him". Observe man's faith in the continued eternity of this modern progress.

(4).       The Quran says 哲ay, for, verily he will be flung into Al-Hotama". And hell as the logical and scientific consequence of this Baconian progress has now appeared.

            And now observe the distinguishing phenomena characteristics of atomic phenomenon against every other phenomenon, chemical, electrical, gravitational, in this passage of the Quran.

(i)         The Quran says "hotama". Hotama literally means a crusher, and so is the atomic phenomenon. It crushes basic atomic structure irreparably. It destroys atomic nucleus. In no other phenomenon atomic nucleus is so much as touched. The atomic energy is generated by merely breaking the binding of the atomic nucleus. No other kind of energy is generated in this manner. Atomic Radiations follow the suit. They cause nuclear transmutations of atoms in inanimate matter while in living bodies they break a cell nucleus chromosomes irreparably. This atomic phenomenon is an obsolete, universal crusher. Both the basic building block of the universe, that is atom, and the basic unit of life that is cell nucleus are absolutely irreparably crushed. All the three manifestations of atomic bomb that is heat-flash, blast, and radiations are crushers. Heat-flash crushes the hearts of exposed persons; the atomic blast crushes structures, while radiations crush atomic nuclei and cell nuclei.

            The appreciation of the term "Bremstrahlung" by the German physicists as highly descriptive when first coined by the Germans, for "continuous spectrum of rays" implied the realization of the crushing trait of atomic phenomenon by the Physicists, for, the term literally meant "breaking radiation". To this may be added Rutherford's surprise recorded in his diary after his famous experiment of Bombarding the Gold foil with Alpha Particles." It was the most incredible event that ever happened to me in my life. It was as incredible as if you fired a 15 inch shell at a piece of tissue paper and it came back and hit you", Wrote Rutherford.

            Observe the words like : "Bombarding, hitting, smashing, crushing, breaking" etc. in the standard text books of Atomic Physics, and mark the phrases like :  "Target Concept, Direct Action, Indirect Action, Snapping the Cable with a Bullet, Breaking the Chromosomes" and sentences like  "Radiations hit the cell like a sledge hammer and crush them", in the standard text books of Radio biology. And in the end, mark the phonetic as well as functional identity that exists between the "atoma" of the scientist and the "Hotama" of the Quran and wonder.

(ii)        The Quran says" Hotama is fire". And so also is the Atomic Phenomenon exclusively a phenomenon of energy, and energy is fire. Atomic bomb also is fire. So also are Radiations. Becquerel, the discoverer of Radioactivity was the first to experience a burn on his skin next to the pocket in which he had carried a phial of Radium. The term 鼎ross Fire" is used in Radiotherapy.

(iii)       The Quran says" Hotama is fire of Allah". The Atomic Hell has appeared as the result of the worldly ungodly philosophy of Baconian Atomism and its Baconian progress as retribution.

(iv)       The Quran says" Hotama is a fire which leaps up onto the hearts". Atomic Phenomenon actually is the nuclear phenomenon, for, the atomic nucleus is involved. This again is the distinguishing feature of the Atomic Phenomenon, for, no other Phenomenon is nuclear. In no other phenomenon Nucleus is ever touched. Quran's description of Atomic Fire that it is fire which leaps up on to the hearts or appears in the hearts is confirmed merely by uttering the word, "Nuclear" since the nucleus and heart are synonymous, and both the Orthodox Physicists and Standard Text Books of Atomic Physics frequently use the word Heart for Nucleus. Two examples only will suffice:-

            (a)        "Each fast particle comes from the breakup of the very Heart of a single atom --- The Nucleus --- of the Radioactive material". (Vide Physics-Physical Science Study Society Committee- IInd Edition --D.C. Heath and Company Lexinction Massachusetts. July 1965, page 130).

            (b)        " How many nuclear heart-beats are in the life-time of a Radioactive nucleus which lasts only billionth of a second".   (Ibid, page 21, Short Problems)

            Teller in 1939 spoke of taking energy from the heart of atom. The atomic radiations follow the suit and have their actions in the nuclei of atoms and cells. The most spectacular spectacle of atomic fire's leaping up over the hearts may be viewed in thermonuclear device wherein the fire produced by the inner fission device is being directed onto the nuclei: that is the Hearts of the outer fusile material. The term thermonuclear is the scientific version of the statement of the Quran namely,  "A fire which leaps up onto the Hearts".

            Radiations show a discernible preference for the Heart and all that is related to the Heart in a living body. They affect the coordination of the function at the level where it is beyond the control of the brain. The Bone-marrow and all the blood-forming organs are more sensitive to the effect of Radiation than the Brain, the nerves and the muscles. The blood relation of bone-marrow and blood-forming organs with heart is known. All the multi-cellular organisms are more sensitive to the effect of radiation than all the unicellular organisms. That the former have a more elaborate circulatory and respiratory system than the latter is well known. Known also is the blood relation of circulatory and respiratory system with heart. The action of radiation is retarded in the absence of Oxygen and the blood-relation of Oxygen with heart is known. Lastly the heat-flash of the atomic bomb explosion kills its victim through shock to the heart. And Wordsworth has an excellent little couplet to show the heart-atom relation. He laments:-

            典o let a creed built in the heart of things

               Dissolve before a twinkling atomy".

(v)        The Quran says "Hotama is a fire closed in on them". The atomic phenomenon shows peculiar and distinctive characteristic of encompassing. The inverted cauldron-like form of the atomic bomb explosion, the continuous series of enclosures of local and global type of radioactive fallout, the relentless tenacity of the bone-seeking radio-active materials settled in the bones, the appearance of cancers six to thirty-years after the actual exposure to radiation, the appearance of the effects in Anaphase inspite of the attack of Radiation on the cell in the resting stage of the cell, the encompassment of the whole body by the radiation even if only one organ of the body is irradiated, the survival of the lethally irradiated frogs for many months instead of dying in the usual time interval that of three to six weeks if kept in a dormant state at a low temperature just above freezing point, and the appearance of Radiation symptoms as soon as these irradiated frogs are warmed up, and the occurrence of their death thereafter in the usual time interval that of three to six weeks. Alexander Haddow's suggestion that the cancer-producing action of the cancer-producing substances might be the result of prolonged interference with normal growth, the encompassment by radiation of mankind to generations, even to their extinction through long-term radio-genetic effects, and the encompassment of this earth by radiation in the age of full-fledged atomic energy for peace are some of the facts which indicate the distinct encompassing features of atomic phenomenon.

(vi)       The Quran says "In outstretched columns". Besides the symbolically distinctive feature of the outstretched column associated with the atomic bomb explosion, the atomic phenomenon has yet another side of this aspect, namely that the world of radio-activity may be regarded as a world of columns. The 4 cm rise of the Alpha particle would appear as a formidable column if the size of the particle is seen in comparison to the height it has assumed. A football rising in the same ratio to its size would disappear in the skies. The Cosmic Rays present a spectacle of amazing columns in showers, having heights that may cause man's imagination to reel.

(vii)      The description of Hotama (the atomic hell) by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) of Islam:-

            "Allah will send angels equipped with covers of fire, and nails of fire, and columns of fire. They will cover the doomed with covers of fire, and will transfix them with nails of fire, and then will stretch the columns of fire upward above them. The entire phenomenon will be made so air-tight that not a whiff of delight will enter from without, nor a trace of agony will escape from within. Allah will forget them on his throne, and will cut them off from his mercy. The inmates of paradise will begin to enjoy the boons of Allah. The inmates of Hell will cease to cry for help, and the speech will come to an end. Their speech will then be (as the sound of) inhaling and exhaling.

            Now the atomic bomb explosion is a cover of fire, radiations are nails of fire. The outstretched columns of fire miles high are a spectacle of atomic bomb explosion. No better description of atomic hell could be expected.

(viii)      The Quran says "What could teach thee what Al-Hotama is?". This mode of interrogation implies terribleness of the Phenomenon according to the early commentators of the Quran. To this may be added the extreme complexity of the subject of atomic science. The same question today, namely, 展hat could teach thee what atomic science is"? could be put to the leading atomists, and their reply would invariably be, " Nothing", so meager is man's knowledge of atomic science and so complex is atomic science.

THE BIBLE AND THE QURAN ON THE BREAKER INTO PIECES

            Scriptures in this modern age of Rationalism are generally regarded as merely the books of the religious guidance. The miraculous and the spiritual contained in the Bible has been regarded by the modern rational critics as merely unbelievable superstition. This is not exactly the case. An eye endowed with correct vision might see the things otherwise. The scientific description and the characterization of the Nuclear Phenomenon by the Quran fourteen hundred years ago has furnished this world with a miracle which could not possibly be denied by anyone. And here , I intend to give something from the Bible which though not as exactly, strictly and completely scientific as the characterization of the atomic phenomenon given by the Quran, yet it contains at least enough to dispel the view that all that is contained by the Bible in the form of miraculous, or purely spiritual is unbelievable and nonsensical. I will now give a characterization of the nuclear phenomenon as may be found in he Bible, which though giving only the main characteristic of the nuclear phenomenon, that of breaking to piece, and in no way to be regarded as a complete description, yet serves as an example to annul the view that the existence of miraculous is a natural impossibility. I will produce a vision of Daniel in which could be found the nuclear phenomenon described with scientific clarity, while the other three phenomenon, namely, the gravitational, the electrical and the minor nuclear may be seen described quasi allegorically.

            While judging between the difference of the degree and style of description by the Quran and Daniel in the Bible the differences of their respective eras have to be kept in mind. If Einstein were alive today, I would have presented this particular excerpt from the Bible to him as a suggestive aid to his research on the unification of natural forces, believing that it would have proved suggestive, resourceful, thought-provoking and interesting to him in his particular theme that of the unification of natural forces, besides the clarification of the basic characteristic of nuclear phenomenon that of breaking into pieces. Einstein indeed had the realization of this last fact as is clear from his appeals to mankind, but unfortunately the realization had come to him only too late, after only the Hydrogen Bomb had appeared on the scene. Now read the following from the Bible:-

            的n the first year of Belshazzer, King of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters. Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven storve upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first one was like a lion, and had eagel's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up upon the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast also had four heads; and dominion was given to it. After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it; and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it: and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great-things.

            I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool; his throne was like the fiery flames, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him; thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgement was set and the books were opened. I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

            As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

            And there was given him dominion, and glory and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an ever-lasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. But the saints of the most high shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever and ever. Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, break in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet. And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell: even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

            I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; until the ancient of days came, and judgement was given to the saints of the most high; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Thus he said, the fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall treat it down, and break it in pieces.     

            And of the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise; and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most high, and shall wear out the saints of the most high, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgement shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the Kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the Kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most high, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitation much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart".  (The Bible -Daniel-VII-1-28)

            In order to treat the subject we will follow the specific arrangement of the four natural forces to depict the four beasts of Daniel's vision:-

1).THE GRAVITATIONAL FORCE

            "The first one was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up upon the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it".

2).  THE ELECTRICAL FORCE
