And now the scientist and the philosopher, if you have attested the truth of the scientific and the philosophic points presented, then know that you have attested the truth of the prophetic treatment of the atomic hell by the Quran. The text of the prophecy is as flows:-
"Woe unto every backbiter, defamer, who amaseth wealth (of this world) and arrangeth it (against the future). He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. Nay, for verily he will be cast into Al-Hotama. And what could teach you what Al-Hotama is? It is fire of Allah enkindled which leaps up onto the hearts. It is (a fire) closed in on them in outstretched columns". (Quran-CIV- Al-Homaza)
You can see that all that you have attested as regards the atomic energy as well as the modern philosophy of atomism, can be found in the prophecy to the letter. The Quran has used the word Hotama which is a descriptive, qualitative noun formed from the root-verb Hotama which means to break something to pieces. The word Hotama thus means a crusher, a breaker. Mark the phonetic resemblances between the two words that is Hotamic and atomic, and so also between the word atom and Hatam. Hatam being of pure Arabic origin while atom is an adoption from the Greek word atomic. The point though of no scientific significance, yet is interesting, also, the Quran has used the word “Hearts” for nuclei. Hotama, however, is a particular hell of the next eternal world. The atomic hell of this world is but its transitory representation, Justas fire is of hell, and garden is of paradise.
